There is a form of fatigue that just takes over the body. It is extremely unhealthy and if unchecked, can spiral into depression.
In a previous post, I noted some signs of chronic exhaustion that one needs to watch out for. Now we will see practical steps you can take to checkmate them.
1. Take out time for yourself. Perhaps you have been pouring yourself into others or work. It is time to take some time off, turn in early and pamper yourself. You need a breather.
2. Seek support. We burn out most times because we try to do it all on our own. Reach out to people in your circle who can bear you up.
3. Try a new coping strategy. Engage in something that gets you up and about or that pushes your mind. For example, working out, yoga, meditation, calming baths.
4. See a physician. It is possible that you feel so fatigued because you are iron-deficient or something. Go for a full body exam.
5. See a therapist. You may like this idea the least but seeing a professional can help you figure out the problem and develop ways of combating it.
It is easy to keep pouring into others but don't forget that you need to take care of yourself too.
